Do those pesky little jump ropes get you down?
Have you been doing 2x Single Unders for years and have been bullied by those dang colorful wires too dang much?
Well, we are gonna do our best to break that vicious cycle in today’s email!
An issue that seems unimportant, but is probably the most important, is how long should your jump rope be? A long jump rope can mean that your rope is spinning too slow or catching the ground too much and bending a ton as you try to get that dub.
To get that length just right, watch the following video: https://youtube.com/shorts/IjmykrDeo-I?si=biUI1tX4_VejR4pW
The rest of the issue we find is with the rhythm.
At the end of the day, that is all this movement is. A test of coordination and endurance. If you can’t get the rhythm down to where the rope passes under your feet twice with each jump, you’ll just end up frustrated.
So, today we have not one but TWO videos that can help with that tempo.

For Coach Kidd’s cue, go ahead and click here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tOOWOa3iniQ
We hope these videos help break that plateau for you! Just make sure you practice, practice, practice!!
If you don’t, then none of these drills will help. Just take, 10 minutes after class, 2 times per week, for a whole month, and see how your double under skills improve!
