Saying No

Saying no is hard.

Saying no is also freeing.

Imagine if what you are saying yes to mattered so much, that it was easy to say no to everything else?

Saying no is hard depending on what we are saying it to.

One More Fry? Hard.

1 More YouTube Video at 1am? Hard.

Putting on 10 more pounds on the bar while everyone is cheering? Hard.

But, it gets easier when you know what you’re saying yes to.

Sticking to your portions because you want to lose 10lbs by your wedding day? A little easier to say no.

Get that one more hour of sleep so you can have the energy to make your kid’s day? Yup, now it’s way easier to put down the phone.

Calling it a day because the last rep wasn’t the best form? It stings now, but forcing it could have meant no PRs for a while.

Having your North Star in the center of your mind makes things easier to do so many things that seem hard now. Once you start, then it gets even easier to say yes to things that matter most to you.
