Have you ever timed out your day?
Having Bozemund while dealing with the new building, playing with Tormund, running Vegvisir, and doing my regular work around the house has made time even more of a precious resource than it was Pre-Boze.
Something I learned from growing Vegvisir was a skill where I just start noticing the time it takes to do a task. It’s really helpful when I want to hand off a task at the gym and running payroll.
For personal use, it’s actually a really great way to take care of those tasks I don’t wanna do because they will “take too long.”
Taking out the trash/recycling/compost? 1 Minute.
Doing the dishes? 10 Minutes.
Folding laundry and putting it up? 30 Minutes.
Blog post for gym? 15 Minutes.
and for everything else there’s Mastercard (#millennials)
But before doing those tasks I felt like each of those were gonna take an hour minimum. Instead, that is literally what I did in the hour of writing this blog post.
The hardest thing to do is remember it is just a story that we tell our selves that we are so busy.
Data is the best way to change that story as it grounds us in the facts of our lives.
You’d be amazed with how many little annoying things you can take care of when you know it’ll only take 10 minutes.
So, have fun measuring everything and see if it makes things just a little less stressful to do when you’re overwhelmed with the daily onslaught of life.
Have a wonderful day y’all and see you in the gym,
